Whether you're travelling up or down the Dempster Highway or visiting town, be sure to pull into our little Hamlet and take a rest.
Fort McPherson has multiple playgrounds for children of all ages to enjoy and release energy after a long drive.
RV Bay
Need a place in town to park your RV or have a picnic your way through? Check out the RV Bay on Charles Koe Road
Each bay has a picnic table on a wooden platform. There is access to safe drinking water and a portable toilet. The Hamlet office is open 8:30 - 5pm (closed at lunch) for public washrooms.
The Nataiinlaii Campground
"The Nataiinlaii Campground is along the Dempster Highway, in the Hamlet of Fort McPherson. The campground overlooks the Peel River, and offers 22 non-powered campsites.
Basic amenities include washrooms, drinking water and a picnic area. While visiting, explore the visitor centre for a historical glimpse into the life of the Gwich’in people, indigenous to the area. Online reservations are not available for this park. Visitors can register upon arrival to the park (campsites are generally available)."
